The interest in genealogy was sparked when I came across an old letter from my Maternal
Great Great Grandmother Mother, Maria MAGGIA that was written to her son, my
Great Grandfather, Giuseppe RUBERTONE. When I was a child, I enjoyed
pretending to deliver mail to the different rooms at my grandparents' house.
I must have picked this one up and by chance kept it. Unfortunately, there
is no envelope.
The letter came with three old photos that have been
treasured ever since. Following the photos is the actual handwritten
letter (reduced to fit the screen).
The Date is January 6, 1940.
